Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has reviewed, or has impressions of the Cold War scenario book by Tom Garnett, titled – Battle for Bad Hersfeld, Conflict Europe-1981?

It was written for Fireball Forward, but was said to be useable with other rules.

(interested in the formation sizes of the forces involved in the scenarios)

Thanks.

Not to take this topic thread off course (too much), but it inspired me to take shot at "generating" a scenario. I've never played FF yet nor read the book mentioned so I hope this offering isn't too horrendous.

Oh heck, not off course at all ThunderAZ -

As the mist lifts, engines rumble. From the east, the silhouettes of BMPs and T-64s emerge,
advancing along the B62 highway. The Battle for Bad Hersfeld has begun…

Thanks for the scenario, it's excellent, and captivating right from the 1st paragraph!

Is this your work Chris?

And…..The Micro Bunker…..with some interesting game systems up and coming (all yours too)?

I'm glad to hear it's of interest. Please feel free to provide feedback and help me improve. As mentioned, I'm not familiar with the game system but did some quick research to get an idea. I have definitely heard of it before, but have never really looked into it.

Here's a follow-up scenario if you enjoyed the first one:

Yes, the website and content are all new with the exception of the Cowpoke game (content coming soon) which I created about a decade ago.

Between a full time job, family, the honey-do list, and the other things life presents, the website isn't progressing particularly fast but I squeeze in some time here and there. Definitely not enough time to actually game and playtest the rules.

Thanks for the positive comments.

ThunderAZ, this Scenario 2 looks good too.

Just one modification would be on the last page, under the Soviet CO's Briefing – the Forces would have two platoons of T-64s listed instead of two companies?

Thanks for passing these along – they'll work for a lot of rule systems!

Great stuff thank you! I particularly like the second scenario. Few meeting engagements out there; almost all Soviet attack scenarios.
Thanks again .

Thanks so much for sharing your scenarios. Same scale as GMT's MBT system so will adapt your scenarios to that.Feel free to post any more of your scenarios.
Great job!
