Addition of a head on this unclear scale figure. It's on a 50mm base but I think the majority of the Deuslair figures are 28/32mm. It will be used with 28mm miniatures.

This is a picture from the back of the box with the miniature and the concept art. The lack of a big vulture-y head was the reason for adding the Crocodile Games Sebeki head.

Perhaps because of the way they are stooped over I, too was reminded of The Dark Crystal. An interesting creature, and I'd love to see how it looks when it is completed.

I thought Skeksis as well. And I also look forward to seeing where this goes.

For sure a Skeksis – now all you need is a gelfling and maybe a few garthrim soldiers!

I read the title as synonymous with "Making a lousy small refrigerator," and wondered what the heck this was doing on TMP. laugh

Even after I clicked, it took me a bit to realize it was "Making a less-than-stellar miniature figure into a more interesting design."

I agree that the slight tilt to the head makes a difference. And yes, I was getting Dark Crystal vibes from the conversion, too.

Parzival, I had a similar interpretation of the title. I was wondering why CBPIII wanted to make a coller to chill his figures and I was curious why it didn't turn out the way he anticipated.

I'm a bit dense these days I suppose. As to the miniature, I like the addition of the head and it definitely has Dark Crystal vibe to the miniature now. I'm a fan!

The joys of English. I too looked at this and wondered why I wasn't seeing an inefficient small styrofoam box. I figured it was an example of Da Bug. Very nice job of improving a miniature.

Nice conversion.

Yes I too read the title as a DIY article for a small insulated transporter for chilled items. Then I realized "mini" meant miniature not size, so now I was wondering if it was DIY cooling system to keep miniatures from overheating. Which was confusing so I clicked to see what it was about.
