I get a very unhappy response about your site's security when I try to click the link. |

Good read, sounds like a close call! Are they your own rules or a modification of another set? |

Good AAR. As Korsun0 asked, what rules? |
Just Jack | 19 Aug 2025 7:29 p.m. PST |
Joe, YES!!! More companies and characters please, have to at least equal the number of platoons you were doing ;) I hadn't noticed previously, have you always been tracking all the way down to squad leaders with your companies? I thought just the Company Commander and Platoon Commanders. And 2D6 for OPFOR reinforcement blinds??? My goodness, a bushel of T-34s…. Why'd you say "dumb German tankers" when the first German AT shot hit a T-34? Pretty cool how the command confusion card played out, and a great fight, thanks for sharing! V/R, Jack |

Korsun/pz4, thank you for the kind words. The scenarios and characters are from my campaign rules platoon forward. I am tweaking them for company actions and hope to include actual opfor AI rather than just placement. The tactical engine is the newest edition of PBI with some mods. The biggest one is a piquet like activation sequence which is perfect for the game I like to play. Questions fire away. I can talk game theory all day . Jack, how cool was that? The cards worked perfectly to differentiate leaders. I only name squad leaders when they specifically enter the company story. Regarding " dumb tankers" I realize now I gave that comment no context; sorry. The two German panzers had been plinking away for two turns and missed every time. The gun arrives, sets up and hits first try from farther away. : ) Cheers Joe |

Joe, It was super cool ;) Gotcha on the squad leaders, that makes sense, and that's funny, didn't realize how ineffective those Panzer IIIs had been. Good stuff man, keep'em coming! V/R, Jack |

Nice looking game. I've got to get my WWII stuff on the table. |

FYI on your site security: When accessing your site from my Windows partition, Webroot AV blocks access to it. (I notice that the URL is using HTTPS, which may mean that something is wrong with the SSL certificate; for example see link ). When accessing your site from my Linux partition (for which I don't use AV, relying on Linux' supposedly better security), I can of course see it. In both cases, using Firefox browser. |

79, you should. For Americans there is something nostalgic about WWII. Hinds, thanks for the link. All I do is click on the title and copy and paste. Maybe I am doubling something in the title? Will check when I am back from the beach. Thank you for taking the time to help. Joe |

Hinds, I checked on the link. there is nothing doubled up in it. Here it is broken up: htpps://platoonforward.blogspot.com/ 2025/08/on-the-road-to-stalingrad-with-hauptman.html Any guesses why it is suspicious on some browsers? I am just a simple bone doctor so I have no idea. Thanks for any guidance. Joe PS Capt Zoller actually attacked into the suburbs of Stalingrad. How will 2nd platoon do???? |

"Capt Zoller actually attacked into the suburbs of Stalingrad. How will 2nd platoon do????" Well, get on with it then! And post it ;) V/R, Jack |
