A 100-year old US Marine tank driver has been reunited with his M4 tank (named "Lucky") that he drove on Iwo Jima.

I was a little dumbfounded by a Sherman with two barrels but quickly discovered this old tank is a real find, an M4A3R3 "Zippo" flamethrower.

The article states that the National Museum of the Marine Corps plans on restoring "Lucky" within the next five years. Maybe they need to talk with the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum for guidance. It is one of only six Iwo Jima M4s confirmed in existence today.

Great story and I am very happy to see one of the remaining old Vets still able to reconnect with his past.

Yeah, the love between a driver and his AFV is a wonderful thing.
