Here are some pics of my 15mm Mongol Army. Not the best pics (I had some trouble getting things in focus. I bought these in a couple of large armies, but they were very uniformly painted so I ended repainting just about everything to make them look much more irregular (varied tunic, shield, and armor colors). About the only thing that didn't get changed was primary horse colors. They were a real pain to rebase as well since they were put on the bases with liquid nails. I just recently finished them and they have not yet seen the table for a game. Full Album of Pics: link

Now that's a proper horde! Looks like Impetus Rules basing to me Jim. |

We primarily play Hail Ceaser with many home rule mods with everything having a 80mm frontage. The big Cavalry bases are 80mm frontage and 60mm depth, which is the equivalent of double sized DBA/DBM (4 DBM Cavalry bases). Many of my armies are based for DBM so I usually group them for larger units. These I just based on the large bases, lets me stretch the figs to get more units (instead of needing 12 cav figs for 4 DBA bases I can get by with 10 per larger base). |
