What I loved about the Armory Matt was it was VERY matt. Doesn't seem to be in production anymore. Suggestions for a replacement very matt clear seal spray can?

Winsor Newton Professional matte spray. Dick Blick sells it in the US. Hobby Lobby used to carry it. Best matte spray I have ever used.

Thanks.

I love Krylon Matte, but it might not be matte enough for you.

John Leahy is right on the money. Winsor and Newton dries absolutely flat. I also use Vallejo Matt Acrylic Varnish which is a brush on product and also dries absolutely flat.

I second Winsor Newton's matte spray. I started using it when Testors Matt spray got hard to find.

I lament the loss. I still have some Armoury paints that have been stretched out as long as possible.

AK matt varnish spray is my replacement for Testor's Matt vanish spray. I think AK is better.

Thanks all!

I found the Winsor and Newton on Amazon. I've had very poor luck with the Vallejo matt it always glosses on me. Per my understanding I need to mix the hell out of it to get it to be matt.

Next time I hand paint matt, I'll be sure to do that. But for now, I'm just spraying tiny 1/600th aircraft.

Winsor and Newton looks good but it's just too dang pricey for me.
