I picked up these little gems from Michigan Toy Soldier the other day. They are crisply printed with brilliant color and, best of all, are wet-transfer decals so there won't be any of that fussing about with dry-transfer! Just remember to paint the shield white and put a coat of gloss down before you use the decals.
My only complaint is the "battle-damaged" set. Knights could afford several shields and wouldn't be caught dead with a ratty looking shield before a turn of jousting or heading into battle. Plus, if I desire a battle-damaged look it is easy enough to bring off with a razor knife and a bit of paint. |

Good post. I agree with you on 'pre-stressed' items, be they transfers or miniatures. The 'custom' features get pretty repetitious after a while. Think zombie figures. The decals still look pretty good though. |
