The Scottish Corridor campaign for Chain of Command continues and we move back to the opposite flank, where the Germans continue their push into Le Valtru. The British held them off the first time, can they succeed at the second attempt? The full game report is here: Return to Le Valtru

That is another excellent looking game, Tactical Painter! The AAR is very well written as well and makes it easy to follow what is going on. A tough day for the Brits indeed.

Thank you. I've always tried to make the AARs accessible to readers, even if they are not familiar with Chain of Command. Obviously, some rules knowledge helps, but I hope that anyone with a reasonable grasp of Second World War combat can follow and enjoy. Part of my inspiration in creating the blog was my own frustration at reading AARs and reports and finding it very difficult to follow what's happening. My aim was to write the sort of report I'd like to read and hope that aligned with what others would like to see. I also find a report that's easy to follow is a great way to discover how a particular set of rules plays out.

Read the AAR at your link; very enjoyable.

Makes me want to try the rules, but I'll never have the bandwidth. The closest thing I have in progress is a vignetted 1/6-scale "Nuts" Normandy campaign (home-made).
