Did he actually use a tiger skin, and if so where and when? Or was it a leopard skin? Or even something else? I like to know what was used in the 1807/7 campaigns and at the Battle of Medina de Rioseco in 1808. |

He has certainly been shown with a leopard skin shabraque as well as a 'plain' gold-trimmed green one. There are also stories about him wanting to use captured leopard or tiger skins to make pelisses for one of his hussar regiments. However, I think the safest way to go would be to portray him with a leopard skin or green shabraque depending on the model you are painting. |
