The article on Texas / Mexico during the revolt is worth reading for people interested in the broader (non-Euro) Napoleonic wars.

The NHS (always amuses me that, as summat very different this side of the Pond.) is best value for money if US based, but its newsletter articles can be fascinating. Indeed, this issue tackling the history of all those islands in which we love to pass a week or two and the forerunner to the Alamo and San Jacinto (totally new to me) was great reading.

Their annual meetings could be fun and they even left the US once, in 2017.

For Havana. Those were the days, when they could do so…..

If you're interested in marine skirmishes, Tom Pokock wrote a great book about British raids against French emplacements all across the Aegean and Ionian region, Stopping Napoleon: War and Intrigue in the Mediterranean. Full of descriptions of the strategies and action during Marine landings and their difficult dealings with the Austrians. He was inspired to write it because one of his ancestors was a prominent sea captain conducting these incursions.
