There used to be an 18th Century race horse game put on every year at the Seven Years War Association convention by Mr. Bart Redmon.

Each player had one horse figure and the objective was to ride cross country and win the race. Along the way a series of unfortunate events could way lay you from the race for a turn or two. There were personal agendas and scores to be settled among the players.

Does anyone have a copy of these rules?

Sounds like what I would like to do with Sedan Chair racing.

I recently published my Sedan Chair racing rules on Wargame Vault. They include terrain/obstacles, player fights etc. But my game plays on a race track. You could easily adapt it to open country I think…..
