It has been reported that Stan Johansen has passed. I can't find any direct links. But Stan has been in my gaming world/life since the mid 80's.

Thank you Stan.

Heck of a nice guy. I went to his house years ago and he molded the figures for me right there. Definitely one of the good ones. RIP young man.

Thanks for sharing. I bought a lot of figures for Modern Warfare from him. He was a great guy who shared many stories. I for one will miss him. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace my friend.

I got a few figures from him a long time ago. He was always a staple on every miniatures forum I ever read.

May he rest in peace.

I never met the gentleman but always read great comments about him. The passing of a nice guy in our hobby should always be mourned.

I think I recall a couple of landline phone calls to him way back when. He was very knowledgeable and nice. I would definitely consider him a "giant" in the wargames world.

Godspeed, Stan, and thank you very, very much.

peace

RIP Stan. You'll be missed.

Our circle grows smaller and we need to stand closer shoulder to shoulder as we soldier on…

I always enjoyed chatting with him during the HMGS conventions. He and his wife showed kindness and enthusiasm during our encounters. I will miss our little chats.

This is a tough one. It's just so hard to find the words.

Stan taught me how to make molds in about 1986. I visited him and his family in Connecticut several times and they were always so friendly and kind. I remember how his son reminded me to put powder on both sides of the disks.

Stan and I often shared news about new developments in our respective miniatures ranges. We were very excited when he came out with new additions to his Road Warriors range just before the release the third movie "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome." Those were the days!

In later years we sometimes met at conventions and it was always so great to see him again. He had a wry sense of humor and always discussed matters with common sense and clarity.

Yes, this is a tough one. Stan was one of the best!
