I just saw the announcement in the TMP news about Boki's 10 mm 1700 range. Boki makes lots of 10mm and 15mm Napoleonics. Is is possible that Boki might make a 15mm "1700" WSS range? Just a few universal figures would be something. Since Roundway and apparently Black Hat have disappeared, collectors have been left with fewer option for 15mm WSS. Minifigs, Dixon, Essex and Blue Moon remain my mainstays for the period, but I would certainly welcome any new blood that becomes available.

Cheers!

To repeat my 10mm "1700" project in 15mm? It is definitely possible.
But not right now. I must finish 7 commissioned French Revolutionary Generals and Dutch and Piedmont cavalry. Then I remake all my dolls to avoid scale creeps in future. And only then I will take new projects in 15mm.

My "1700" project contain Universal infanty, Swedish style infantry, French style infantry, Universal cavalry, Swedish style cavalry, Lobster cavalry, Universal Command.

Great to see a new active 10mm company. My clients will be happy to hear this.

Hello Sho Boki,

I have been admiring your work for some time. Although interested in Napoleonic Wars and French Revolutionary Wars, my current interest is War of the Spanish Succession and to some degree, the War of the League of Augsburg. That's why I was so surprised to find that you had started a WSS/GNW range. I pretty much stick to 15mm scale. Still, your new 10mm 1700 range made me feel hopeful. Generic 15mm WSS or later LOA figures would solve a lot of problems. There is a particular shortage of later LOA command figures and generic cavalry. Perhaps manufacturers don't like the idea of making informal tricornes. At any rate, it was a real boost to find that you are interested in the 1700 period.

Cheers!

Actually I even prepared universal "1600" set of musketeers and pikemen in 15mm.
But von Winterfeldt drew my attention to the possible scale creep, and indeed it happened. So everything goes into the trash and the project starts over again from scratch.

As for 15mm, my very first figures in this scale actually were the ones from the "1700" project. I didn't have any production equipment then, I carved and cast everything by hand.

Those 15mm "1700" figures look very fine indeed! As far as scale creep goes, How do your 15mm figures compare size-wise to Minifigs 15mm WSS? The majority of my WSS figures are Minifigs, Roundway (no longer produced), and Dixon.

Cheers!

I have no clue as I don't have any. 16 years ago I bought almost the entire AB assortment and these are the only ones I can compare to.

I want my miniatures to be 1:100 scale. The average height of men in the Napoleonic era was 170cm, so most of my figures should be 16mm from the ground to the eyes. Grenadiers can be taller. Unfortunately, they all tend to grow to 18mm (190cm) tall.

These on photo are 14,5 mm.
