… LEADING TO THE FRANCO-PRUSSIAN WAR.

"Nigel Emsen, Tony Hellard. large format v well ills pbk. 90p. "Bismarck's Wars" features a streamlined set of basic rules that balance simplicity with tactical depth. Players will command a single Corps, manoeuvring their forces across a grid gaming terrain to outwit and outfight their opponents. The rules incorporate innovative mechanics from "Muskets & Springfields," ensuring a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience. Whether you are leading a daring cavalry charge or coordinating a devastating artillery barrage, every decision matters. "

I nearly purchased these rules but I read the review of Muskets and Springfields by the same author. Grid based but some weird modifiers (like ACW zouaves getting positive modifiers in charge).I love the Helion Wargames series but, much like the Osprey blue books, the different publications can be hit or miss.

I opted to pass on this one as much as I'm interested in the subject period.

PAR, ditto – it was the same for me, initially excited and once I read the reviews, a pass…

Don't see any reason to adopt them based on the reviews. Still I what I don't like, others may.
