I have purchased many of these in the past and I am not satisfied with the look of many of them. I want spears that look real. Many used to be realistic looking, but recently all that I purchased look like flattened rectangles with a point on them. Anybody know of a good source for realistic wire spears? Thanks in advance. |

I second North Star! Used them and they are fantastic! Obviously you are in the USA, so it will cost more… |

I have bought North Star spears on the US from Brigade Games and Recreational Conflict. |

I use 40 caliber blow gun darts. Indistinguishable from some that some game companies sell, and dirt cheap on Amazon – $15 USD per 100.
This may be what you mean though by flattened rectangles with points. |

Hey Virtual, that is exactly what I meant, but that price is hard to beat. Thanks for the tips guys. |

Now that I've been shown how to make very acceptable spears from plastic broom bristles, that don't bend or break or impale my fingers, I may not ever go back to wire spears or cast metal pikes. |

Yup – never going back to wire! I'm thinking of swapping out the ones I have; they really are too dangerous. I'll keep them as a flagpole, but for pikes, spears, and lances, I'm done. My inspiration: YouTube link |

If your uptight pikes with blunt brass rod aren't stabbing you well enough, go with the above. 👍 |
