Setting up some castle examples using the Dollar Tree castles.

I think they are pretty good considering the price. For someone who wanted a huge castle that you need for a second layer project, or as a particularly large castle, this would be a good idea.

That's a bargain.

I went the route of building PDF printout castles, applying the printed designs to chipboard (3mm thick cardboard). I love my stuff, but if these had been available, I might have gone this route. The price is nice, and painting them would be relatively easy to do with modern, sticks-to-plastic spray paints.

I suspect that if they work with 1/72 figures, they could work with 25mm-28mm figures, as well. They would likely work well with 15mm-18mm figures also.

If you do paint them up, please come back and share photos of your work. I would love to see what you do with these. The accessories (Keep, Towers, Gatehouses, etc.) really make these sets attractive for D&D gamers on a budget. Again, thank you, for sharing! Cheers!

There is so much potential here. Great find!

Quite so 79th. I think the fact that they are so inexpensive means people can experiment with them. Maybe Dr. Doom needs a castle? Perhaps Baron Zemo? Maybe do the movie Castle Keep for WWII action?

Sgt, I do a little of everything, including printed designs on cardboard, plastic, or other bases. These would look better with 15 to 18 than with 25 to 28mm I think, the crenelations are a bit short. Yes, any painting done will end up on the blog, eventually. These are a bit far back on the queue however.

Thanks Sol.
