I never intended on making a Saxon force, I only ever started off converting a few Gripping Beast Dark Age Warriors into slingers for my Germanic tribes, but these things have a habit of getting out of control. Somehow six Germanic slingers turned into a Saxon warband project. Very much a gamer's tale, a few pictures below but the full journey can be found here Saxon warband? What Saxon warband?

A tale as old as wargaming! You start off with a few figures for one set of rules (Saga), then get a new set (Midgard), and need just a few more figures, then hey, I need an opposing army….
