Posting my own (if the world cooperates).

After 30 years of these cons, if my minor grumbles include lighting, the lack of Chinese food containers full of mdf bases, and the Union reenactment band playing during every 10am game trying to explain rules to its players… then it's a darn good con.

Fancy tables and excellent minis! And did I spot some gnomes? One day I'll make my way to a big con…one day.
Thanks for posting!

Excellent Report. Every historical gamer should visit Historicon once in their life despite the cost.

Great write up. I attend Fall In! vs Historicon (wish I could do both), and all the pics got me excite for November. Jon is a good dude. He was game master for one of the first con games my son played (he was about 12) and got him hooked on the possibilities in games (it was Empire of the Dead iirc). Jon is a legend. If you also attend Fall In!, I have seen you gnome wars games and keep meaning to sign up for one.

Besides missing the MDF base guys too, I also could not find anyone selling wire spears. Other than that, it was a great convention with some really great finds in Wally's Basement.

Thanks Viscount…as a west coast gamer who has been to Historicon once many years ago you have me intrigued with the Gnome wars…. May have to go order a set.
