You were asked – TMP link In the discussion that led to this, we decided to leave out things that "nobody" understands, i.e., being confused or just put off by a book is fundamentally different than misinterpreting it… We also decided to exclude all religious texts from the discussion, as they would easily dominate. Also, pointing out someone's important truth to be a misinterpretation, misquote, or just entirely fabricated material does not lead to pleasant discussions. And in the final round of voting: 22% said "none of these/no opinion" 20% said "Starship Troopers – Robert Heinlein" 17% said "On the Origin of Species – Charles Darwin" 12% said "Prince, The – Niccolò Machiavelli" |

Although I vote for "Origin…" I can agree with ST. The several times I've read it I didn't see it as fascist but more like Republican Rome. |

The book and the movie were two different critters :/ The movie resembled a high tech Celtic warband ? |

The movie was made by a guy who hated the "message" of the book, which in any case, he didn't understand. For one thing, there was no Denise Richards shower scene in the book. |

Well, yeah. The major misinterpretation of DBA is that it actually "simulates" Ancient warfare. 😄 |
