Inspired by the OFM's "How many Rooster Cogburn figures are there?" Sticking to Western skirmish, how many figures would you need to cover his roles? I'm thinking Young Scout, Cavalry Officer, Cowboy/Hired Gun, Rancher, probably two lawmen--a fit Rio Bravo and a somewhat worn True Grit--and probably an older better dressed Gunhand for the Shootist. So maybe seven between the end of the ACW and the start of WWI?

And who am I missing?

Older Cavalry Officer in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon as Capt Brittles.

As Federal Agent Tipton in the Lawless Nineties

Possibly as a Miner from his two western films dealing with Mines

Luckily he wears the same clothes in half of his Westerns, so that simplifies matters. 😄

Knuckleduster has a few John Waynes, albeit cleverly named differently.
I asked the same question a while back. More or less.

And let's not forget Genghis Khan. 🙄

That's the only one we need!

SGT Stryker "Sands of Iwo Jima"
LTJG Rusty Ryan "They Were Expendable"
Lt. Col. Benjamin Vandervoor "The Longest Day"

I hope a figure designer is reading this thread!

More than one Duke in one location would cause so much awesomeness in one place that the space-time continuum may just rip apart.

+1 Stryderg.

I have the Sideshow Collectables Special Forces Colonel in 1/6th GI Joe scale. It is an awesome figure.

+1 Inch High Guy those are good choices too.

I have a nice Donovan figure in my 28mm Seabees stash. Dang if I can remember who made it. Can't google search, cause it has some not-name which makes finding any sort of media character hard.

Giants in Miniature did a limited run, and properly named, Sgt. Stryker.

I want a Davy Crockett along with everything else listed above with the exception of Genghis Khan. I show my students the trailer to the Conqueror and they struggle to believe anyone would release that movie.

You know, smithsco, I persist in thinking that The Conqueror was two steps from being a great movie. One, sadly, was the casting. It really did need a real Mongol and a real Tartar. Second was the end. Even with the casting, if they hadn't opted for the downer ending, I think it would have been at least a modest success.

As it is, some great lines and scenes.

I just watched the trailer for The Conqueror.
The irony of continually referring to the movie as "Titanic" was awe inspiring.
