You were asked – TMP link

Do you consciously adjust your painting, knowing that your games will primarily be played indoors rather than in full sunlight? So that you might favor brighter colors or lighter highlights.

I'm not that clever.

Given that virtually all miniatures painting is done indoors inmy experience, and games are normally played indoors the majority of the time, I expect most painters only see their figures under indoor lighting 90% of the time and judgehow they look in that situation. So the question as asked seems rather pointless. Asking if people intentionally adjusted how their figures look in outdoor sunlight might have had some meaning but I expect it would have an even more unbalanced response.

My figure painting is very simple, very unsophisticated and basic. I paint for my normal viewing: 98% of the time, I view them sitting on the tabletop, indoors, so I paint for that 98%, ignoring the 2%. LOL! Cheers!

I paint under bulbs that mimic natural light, so I suppose I paint for outdoor viewing by default.

I reach for the closest bottle of green…

Ive been painting under natural light since day one. Whats the mystery in this?

No, I am not a scale modeler. I have never been able to paint or glue that well.

My painting lamp also duplicates natural light….so I have no choice but paint that way. Also, paint next to a window, so even without the lamp, I get natural light.
