Today we had another Colonial war game set in the Zulu war of 1879. It was a bit of a nail biter! If you want to see if we or the solo system won, please go to this link
Enjoy! – I am off for a well deserved sleep now!!! |

That's the appeal of colonials. The few vs. the many. To get an even better feel, I view my 20 figure British unit as 100 men and my 20 figure Zulu unit as 1,000 men. |

Indeed, its a niche interest for many, but a very rewarding period to play in! |

"Because we're here, lad. Nobody else. Just us." Nicely done— very tense, outcome in doubt the whole way. Great setup and pictures, too. |

Don't you just love the cinematic drama and tension of a good Zulu game? It looked great and was very intense! Wonderfully done. |

I watched a video on TV that commented on the Zulu and culture.. I learned a few extra facts. One was that Zulu warriors were very determined when pressing an attack home. If they returned home as a defeated warrior, they were executed. The most common method was to have their skulls bashed in by clubs. I think I need to add +2 to their morale die rolls. |

I wonder…there were a lot of defeated warriors in the 1879 war – so I wonder if the Defeatacide policy was from Shaka's time, or selectively enforced??? |
