The commercials for psychic readings are intruding into my viewing space lately. So…

etc.

If I have a question I just ask the internet what to think…

If they were really psychic, they'd call me.

I've never needed one, but I did consult a Magic 8 Ball a few times back in the day…just for fun.

I never have as yet, but I've always had the urge to do so and lie about everything going in and see if I could trip up the psychic and know right away if he/she was a fraud or not. I always thought this would be a good angle for a reporter angling for a fresh scoop. Expose (or not!) the local psychic business.

I wanted to be on the other end of that financial transaction but my wife wasn't having it. So much easy money. My psychic powers equal those of all other psychics combined.

I would only consult a psychic who had more money than Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and the Sultan of Bahrain, combined. Because otherwise, he's obviously not good at predicting ANYTHING.

I'm pretty sure I've always thought psychics were bogus charlatans in all my other lives.

Who is to say if such things are possible, but for me a I doubt anyone that testifies to such things.

Why consult a psychic? if we were supposed to be able to see in the future we would all have precognition. I would be worried who was giving the psychic the information….

I have consulted several. Retired ones. They have really good insight into to how to elicit information from people who are unaware and how to manipulate people.

I really want to bring one in to an information warfare class to demonstrate (1) with a couple pamphlets and some practice, you to can elicit information, and (2) how to target people who are going to be susceptable to specific manipulation.

If you look at and hear those commercials and roll your eyes, their technique is working. Its similar to misspellings and other problems in scam emails. They're not incompetent. They're filtering out people they don't want to interact with.

Magic 8 Ball never lies. Just don't ask it anything too serious, like "Will I die today?" Keep it frivolous, like "Should I have chili-dogs for dinner tonight," or "Should I adopt a puppy?"
Actually, adopting a puppy is a pretty serious decision…never mind.

I drove past a house where a "psychic" was doing work out of their house. A couple of weeks later, the house was up for sale and the sign advertising the business was gone. I wonder if the psychic saw that coming??? 🤪
