On a scale from 1 (same as my other terrain) to 10 (exotic worlds). |

Are artificial structures included in terrain? |

5. Partially due to table gravity. Scenery needs to sit on the table, as floating scenery is not easy to achieve. Also , players need to be able to reach all parts of the table without clashing with models. Hence most sci fi scenery is placed on the table. martin

There's a range from 1 to 10. On average I would say 7.5.
Asteroids in space are just rocks.
This could be done today with current tech, but it looks sci-fi.
Cryo and biotanks are things we can't do, but don't necessarily look sci-fi.
Martian Trees made out of Giraffes.
Magnetic terrain and bases, so figures get a 3d battlefield outside the space station.
High end sci-fi look. You can check my projects here: inlgames.com/free-arch.htm Click the "All Off" button, then the "sci-fi" button and scroll down to terrain at the bottom. |

8 for buildings and scatter pieces. I have not yet done any flora or geological pieces |

Most of my terrain looks terrestrial but I do toss in some weird plants to make it more SF. I would say 6 |

A friend had some great scenery for John Carter and retro rocket games. Sadly I have no pictures. I'd say an 8. |

Really depends. Sand is sand, hills are hills and the last thing I need is vegetation which only works with one set of troops. But the structures, from the work in progress which will become Rixx the Hutt's Place to a live Jetan Arena are as distinct as I can make them. |

Overall I would say probably 6 – a lot of the buildings would work for historical gaming – but for the jewel in the crown 10, because I have a large piece of terrain with a crashed space ship in it |

3…prefer near future sci-fi. Except spaceships….but little terrain there. |

7–8, pretty darn sci-fi, but there's always room to be even more sci-fi! |

OK, then, I guess on average my science fiction buildings are about a 7. I mostly use boxes like restaurant carry-out boxes and boxes in which food is sold for buildings, and add greeblies etc. Most of my natural terrain could work on Earth, however, because I think that most ground conflict will occur on planets where people can live fairly easily. ("It's a class M planet, Captain, with atmosphere, terrain, and climate similar to Southern California of 300 years ago.") |

5-6. Rocks and hills are pretty much universal. I do have some sci-fi buildings and I made a bunch od "trees" out of pinecones that look alien. |

2. I've got a piece or two that's specifically sf, but basically I use my normal terrestrial terrain when I do something sf. |
