The French, with their Indian allies, had to defend a waterside stockade from an attack by the British and their native allies. Somehow a tribe of "Indians" (that looked more like they were from the Caribbean), managed to annihilate the British Indians with a waterborne rear attack, whilst the French held up the advancing British in an effective fighting withdrawal. The British Regulars spent the whole day marching across the battlefield, not managing to fire a single shot in anger! More images at Nottingham Wargames: link
