On one level it's a Tago job…

On another is was a gentle push to replace NBC with CBRN nomenclature.

Yep went to all the schools and was in service when terms changed from NBC to CBR..
did all the training with the Cavalry and armor platoons. Troops were more scared of running into a patch of chem or bio than nukes.

When I later worked as a consult for a county EMA, we had awareness responsibilities for local citizens as they destroyed, mostly VX at Anniston AD.
I also got a chance to go to the Washington facility where they stored and destroyed all of the mustard gas. Wow, what they tell you and not the public is shocking.

TimePortal, speaking of mustard gas, when I was at Ft. McClellan in the early 80's they told us that mustard gas was still in the soil. 😲
