We played our annual Battle of Puebla a few days late. And it only took me a five weeks from that to post it!

It's still fun every time, even with a mix of new and old players. We had six, so three per side.

I think over 150 years is beyond the cusomary spolier limit, so … the Mexicans won. Well, kind of. The Mexicans always win. The scenario is set up that way. Which is why we have game victory conditions that aren't just "win/lose".

What figures did you use?

UT's been forever since I painted those up.

I think the Mexican civilians were Old Glory. Probably the artillery, too from some other conflict in the 1860's. The French are a mix of different manufacturers … wherever I could get mid-19th century guys in kepis. I keep these French colonials in a box for tBoP, but I use them in other battles. No idea where I got the Zouaves or Mexican army.

The livestock were just plastic toy animals. They had no tactical value, but the Mexican civilian commander wanted to move them out with the civilian units, and everybody was fine with that. You can see the tactical cow in a few pix.
