"Bloody Big BATTLES!" (BBB) has established itself as a popular ruleset for big battle games, originally for the later 19th century, but more recently for Napoleonics as well; and ideal for scales such as 6mm or 10mm that give a big-battle mass visual effect.

As the BBB ruleset is now over 10 years old and keeps gaining new players, the same questions keep coming up. I've therefore written a brief "how to get started" guide here:

As this includes advice that could apply to any ruleset, not just BBB, I trust it's OK to post this on these relevant TMP message boards.
