Texas' first Valour & Fortitude (V&F) 15mm Napoleonic Tournament:

Eight of us met up at Game Kastle in Austin to participate in the first V&F tournament held in Texas, and one fo the very first to be held in the USA. Thanks goes out to Game Kastle for hosting the event – and providing prize support, thanks to LSHM for also providing prize support, and a special thankks to [Rick Ashby] for running the event and putting on one of the best organized game tournaments I have ever played.

[Grant Johnson] and I traveled up from San Antonio, [Steve Miller] came down from DFW, [Gary Hutchinson] came from Fredericksburg, and Alan, Julie, and Ed from the Austin area. Armies included Prussians, Russians, French, Westphalians. The tournament was a 300point event. We played two games and had a great time – three of the players were playing in their very first games.

Watch for plans to hold another event soon. If you have not played V&F and enjoy Napoleonic wargaming you should try out these rules.

Well done to all involved. Clearly, the tournament was a visual feast as well, as I suspect, great fun.

Do you have a link to the playing conditions? (or can you post them here)

The pics appear to show objective markers – how were they included.
