I placed my Perry's order Saturday, May 31, and it arrived today, June 09, via USPS (St. Louis, Missouri, USA). The Royal Post form showed a date of June 02. It was a small order of mostly Travel Battle figs but I was very surprised how quickly it arrived. Perry's has always taken good care of me. I would highly recommend them! |

I feel people place too great an emphasis on delivery times. I'm sick of people asking if something I sold on eBay is posted, like a day or two later, when it's clearly stated I have 20 days. I guess it depends how quickly you want it or how often you get mail delivered/picked up. Also, getting fussy only makes it worse when problems actually occur. A lot of people seem to assume everyone lives next to a post office. Basically, relax. Give them at least a couple of weeks before bugging them on it. If it's not there in 30 days, maybe, maybe, there's an issue. If you want things faster, go to a shop and suffer limited selection. Or, ask them to order it in, ha, ha, ha, ha… Just as likely there will be a flood, sick manager, third party delay, so on, next week and things will take longer. |

I think almost everyone would disagree with you, H Man. Quick shipment is a sign of good customer service, especially for a business. Ebay prefers that sellers ship within 3 days of payment. Of course, living in the middle of nowhere could impact that, and appropriate notice should be given in the posting. |

I recently ordered some 3d figures from Etsy. It only took 4 days from Nebraska to Nevada. But it took 26 days for the business to make my small order! |

"I think almost everyone would disagree with you, H Man" I wouldn't call almost everyone ignorant. eBay has options for how long you can have. If you don't like the timeframe given, don't buy, certainly don't complain if you do. Quick shipment has zero to do with customer service. There are numerous reasons for longer delivery dates. Reasonable people understand some things take time. Some people are just spoilt by other sellers, or just ignorant. I guess most people live in a city centre next to a post office??? Apparently. That, or have nothing better to do then drive (assuming they can) like Royal Mail. Especially on eBay, you would assume most people understand that a lot of sellers are just Joe blogs clearing a cupboard, not Amazon. "Quick shipment is a sign of good customer service, especially for a business." Guess I have poor customer service, despite 100% positive feedback, many sales and awesome comments. "I think almost everyone would disagree with you, H Man" I guess those few remaining are 99% of my customers. PS Maybe I over emphasized a couple of inquires up top. But when it gives you an estimated delivery date and your messaging just a few days out… I'm just glad most customers take better notice. The dates are certainly something I look at, although it doesn't usually sway me. |

You are being purposefully obtuse. |

I too appreciate Perry's outstanding service. |

"You are being purposefully obtuse" No, I'm explaining what has happened. Just because it doesn't match your fantasy doesn't change that. |

The Perry's have a great company. From the superb quality of their castings, figure designs, affordability, ease of ordering, and timely delivery, IMO they check all the boxes. A businessman who thinks that timely delivery isn't important is fooling themselves. People generally expect a timely delivery and when they don't get it their opinion of the company recedes a few notches and sometimes results in a lack of continued business. Generally the folks in this hobby at times overlook that only due to the lack of similar competition and make excuses for them. In selling a highly competitive product with lousy delivery you could easily find yourself out of business.. I was in that type of business for over 35 years and know the value of good service. |

"A businessman who thinks that timely delivery isn't important is fooling themselves" How long is a piece of string? Timely delivery depends on many factors. I think the word your looking for is consistent delivery times. But at the long end, you can still occasionally post same day, and vice versa, as I explained above. So, it's never going to be exact science. Even Amazon vans break down. "People generally expect a timely delivery" Yes, because they are spoilt and or ignorant, as I also explained above. "when they don't get it their opinion of the company recedes a few notches" Yes, like a spoilt child. Be aware that adults are today treated like children in regards to sales and marketing. "folks in this hobby at times overlook that only due to the lack of similar competition " Or because they are older and don't act like 80s,90s kids. They are thus more likely to understand that things can take time to deliver, as they have more experience, especially when everything took longer by Post. Contrary to the "Now!" Generations. "In selling a highly competitive product with lousy delivery you could easily find yourself out of business." There are other factors. Price, experience, quality, packaging, so on. " I was in that type of business for over 35 years and know thee value of good service." Odd then that you don't realise that fast delivery doesn't equal good service. Fast food is not good food. Jamie and Gorden aren't doing too bad. |

Many companies are in business because they supply good and responsive service (besides having a good product) Of course price, experience etc play a role (almost goes without saying) but all that is diminished if the customer cannot get goods in a timely manner. I'm amazed that someone is defending lousy service. Let me make this clearer….People like fast delivery and it's a part of good service….they don't like slow and late delivery.

"Maybe in Australia they do things differently." Like, not having "supply good and responsive service" Doesn't require fast delivery. "price, experience etc play a role (almost goes without saying)" Only you just did. So are you suggesting all sellers achieve in those fields, as it "almost goes without saying"? Then why would delivery be any different? So, why not give the op grief about pointing it out with the topic??? "but all that is diminished if the customer cannot get goods in a timely manner." Is it? Obviously nerlver heard of FOMO, scarcity, rarity, so on. "I'm amazed that someone is defending lousy service." Who?
"People like fast delivery and it's a part of good service….they don't like slow and late delivery." Only ignorant and spoilt people

There are always situations that go against the norm. |

Wow this went sideways, I content if the seller make it abundantly clear, that the item(s) will not be shipped until x date, before I start to purchase it. At the same time if Ebay say the norm is 3 days, then one should make it very clear up front when it will ship. |
The H Man | 20 Jun 2025 1:26 a.m. PST |
For eBay, estimated delivery is written just under postage on the listing. Right up with the photos, price, postage. Eg, "Est. delivery Thu, 17 Jul – Wed, 30 Jul"- from an actual listing. So no excuses. Perhaps other countries see different info??? So, don't shoot the messenger, or the , well.., mmmmm… |

Perry has always been lightning fast with shipping, it's rather amazing. From the UK to here in CT it's usually about 6-8 business days. At the times when I ordered Perry and GMB flags at the same time, the Perry always beats it here by a good five days or more. In fact Perry stuff sometimes gets to me faster than stuff I order right here in the U.S. |
