Was playing in a 6mm game last night, North Africa 1941 IT vs UK and the rules used was "Look Sarge No Charts". It was described as beer and pretzels game. Game was very enjoyable, and fun. Only one thing came up that I thought, maybe was a mistake in how the rules were applied.

3 Crusaders approached 2 ATR teams and were almost touching. The ATR teams fired and took out one of the crusaders. On the next turn the Crusaders has an opportunity to fire, and the way the rules worked (Or my understanding of them) was if my tank troop fires at your tank troop I roll a d10 and add the "adder" which for a crusder is 4. So If I roll a 7 and add 4 I get an 11. Then I subtract the defence number of the target. If they have a 10 let's say, then I get a hit because 11 is higher than 10.

In the case of the ATR, the person running the game said that the defence number for the ATR was "8" and I was stunned. An 8?? That's as much as some of the tanks? How can a guy with a rifle have a defense of 8. I don't recall the exact rolls, but I did realize that the Crusder had no HE and so not sure what the attack factor was for anti-personnel fire. Can anyone who has these rules clarify for me what the factors are for attacking ATR unit with a crusader tank with 2 pdr?

I don't have the rules or understanding of the thinking involved, but in this case you might be looking at factors such as target size, the lack of HE rounds for the crusader or alike. Just guessing here, but a fast play WWII set would be of interest to me.

yeah I was thinking that maybe that was the issue, no HE just coax guns….but it's and 8 defence, and a tank has an 8 defence, so even if I'm attacking with crusader CS with HE shells it's still an 8 and I don't get that. It's a single guy with a rifle.
