In this video, I show you how to make rubble for your damaged buildings. My stuff is mostly 15mm, but I have started a 12mm project, too. It's easy to adapt for scale.

That is pretty great. I have been dissatisfied with cat litter and sawdust, I will try this next time.

The work put into it really shows.

And, I wanted to agree with the point of period and theater specific rubble. Bits of rebar in a ACW could be very distracting.

Yes, good point. Or some rubble is all wood and there would be more of it burned. It would be fun to do a destroyed log bunker and come up with the right materials to pull it off.

That is a great video, Ryan! Thanks for sharing.

First I put down a stream of Gorilla Glue urethane.
Then I pour on top of it large ballast or model bricks. Let it sit overnight. Lather, rinse, repeat. If also put scrap balsa wood or basswood toothpicks. It should not look neat planned.

The rubble looks great, but so does everything else.

Did you paint all those different color stones on the buildings and brick paving? JMFC that looks like a lot of work!

Saw this video last night….took notes. Need a coffee grinder now.

Ya, I painted all the stones.

Brilliant use of a coffee grinder. The results are superb, and I believe it will work for most scales, including 54mm-60mm Army Men (my guilty gaming pleasure). Thanks for sharing it here, otherwise I would have missed it… Cheers!
