I have found that lately the search engine here at TMP is really slow. I have to wait a long time for a result and often it times out. Anyone else having this issue. I try on both my home and work computers. Same problem on both. |

I think it is slow too. I just avoid using it now. Tom |

I had issues with posting anything last night. I would submit a new topic and everything would hang fire indefinitely. So I gave up. I had a similar issue today but ended up with a triple post and no cross-post. |

It's the new server, mostly. However, I fleemed the databases last night, and that solved some of the posting problems. Note that if someone is doing a forum search, that will slow the forums for everyone else. |

In this moment… I have tried for the fourth time during the day… Any possible to change the Bad Server?…. Armand

I have had some success doing my search in Google with the added search element TMP. If you try it, please report your results. |

Google will search specific websites, if you enter the proper format command for it. I found it: Go to Google and type site: (a space is required after the colon…) into the search bar. Type in the website's address without the www prefix. Enter your search terms.
Google Site Search Bar: site: theminiaturespage.com acrylic paint pens Using the Chrome browser, type the website you want to search into the address bar. When you see the "Press Tab to search", hit Tab ↹. Enter your search terms. For both methods, press ↵ Enter after you've entered your search terms. Your search results will appear. You will need to scroll through the results to find the topic you are looking for, but there will be a direct link to it, on the results page.
And… It is very fast to return results for you. Cheers! |

Definitely use Google. Unless a site has a specific database and you want to dive into the custom criteria (like the Advanced Search on BoardGameGeek that lets you search by mechanics) there's no reason to use a site's integral search. They're never as good as Google, and they are often broken. Often. A search engine you can't trust is useless. |

Sad really, I never had trouble with the search engine on TMP and used it for years. One of the main things I enjoyed doing on TMP. |
