Recently I went fully obscure and put together a Battle of Mentana 1867 game from the Italian Risorgimento which I toured the UK shows with over the last year (won best Historical Game at Salute although I don't like to mention it ;)

This is a showcase of the Papal French Army, 28mm figures from Perry, Gringo40s and Foundry.

More info on the Utubes with a video of the figs with lots of explanation if your interested

Fantastic. My Great-grandfather fought at Mentana in Garibaldi's army.

Beautiful stuff you have right there. Beautiful painting and basing. The Risorgimento and specifically Mentana have intrigued me. I started a project in 10mm and really need to resume it.

Can't wait to see the Garibaldini.
