Just got some CnC Triremes, a few from a long time wargamer how was a friend of Randy's, and some newer ones from Legion IV Hire, the new keeper of the molds.

Wondering if it is possible to mod them to add masts or masts and sails.

Anyone here have experience with such a mod?

Should be simple for a mast. Drill a hole for a bit of wire or brass rod and glue a square sail across made from sheet brass or stiff paper. Bowsprit sails might be trickier.

If you want to game with them, don't bother! Masts and sails were put ashore before action.

@Herkybird,

Get what you are saying, but then why do Navwar and Langton put on sails?

On the one hand, the do make for for eye appeal. On the other, fiddly bits making the model less durable to playing on the table.

Very small models look a lot better with sails, I guess?
