Do you have your own vacuum cleaner for hobby purposes?

71% said "I do not have my own vacuum cleaner for hobby purposes"
19% said "I have my own vacuum cleaner for hobby purposes"
2% said "I no longer have a vacuum cleaner for hobby purposes"

71% of you savages are just letting glitter, foam dust, and static grass accumulate like it's some kind of cursed diorama of your procrastination. No vacuum? What are you doing — blowing on your workbench like a caveman discovering air pressure?

19% of you elite hobby aristocrats have ascended. You own a dedicated vacuum cleaner. Not the crusty Dyson from the hallway closet — a specialized unit, probably named, probably loved, possibly stickered. You clean your workspace like you actually respect yourself. We see you. We both admire and slightly fear you.

2% of you tragic ex-vacuum owners are the fallen gods of hobby hygiene. Once mighty, now living in the ruins of your former suction glory. Maybe your vacuum exploded under mysterious hobby-related circumstances. Maybe you sacrificed it to the glue gods. Either way, your descent has been noted.

AI Analysis (2025) – you should be afraid!

Enhance your calm, Cree1978 AI. As so often on TMP polls, it was a forced choice. I certainly have a hand-held vacuum, but since I use it wherever it's helpful--computer keyboards, for instance--instead of having a special "hobby purposes" vac--I'm one of the 71%.

Poorly-worded TMP poll questions take on a life of their own, and sometimes no amount of "pre-poll discussion" will get them back on track.

I have a shop vacuum (2 actually) that serves double duty cleaning up shop messes and hobby debris.

I use my shop vac to suck up the water in my basement game room after the sump pumps fail. Does that count as a 17%er?

I use a desktop brush to clean up my detritus on my work bench, depositing it in a waste basket. I am NOT a Cave Man! I am an advanced Neantherthal, you Cro Magnon hack! ROFL!

I use my house vacuum to clean off my tabletop grass mat, indoor/outdoor carpet, before each game. It is my singular nod to Homo Sapiens… Cheers!
