Hi
Trying to recreate the terrain around Teugen-Hausen (Thann to the French). Can anyone tell me how high the Hausner Berg and Buchberg were compared with the flatter ground around about.
Also, at Eggmuhl or Eckmuhl (?) and in particular in the area of Unterlaiching, Oberlaiching and the Laimberg and Vorberg

Would be most grateful.

Bavaria topographic map data link

Also F. Loraine Petre's "Napoleon and the Archduke Charles" has a hachured map of the"country round Thann and Eckmuhl (Eggmuhl)" with the heights marked in metres above see level. This volume used to be downloadable via the internet.

I have uploaded a copy of the map in Petre to Mediafire – can be downloaded via link

Note the plain around Eggmuhl is about 367 metres above see level & the heights around it go up to about 410 metres in some places; so not a great deal of difference.

Apologies as I know I wrote "see" instead of "sea" in the above posts!!!

Hausner Berg no height is given.
Buch Berg shown as 437.5 metres above sea level.
Teugen valley shown as 368 to 370 metres above sea level.

Le Hausenerberg est à 440m.
