"I needed a quick simple kit to get my scale modeling mojo back into gear, so here is my first diorama for 2024. And yes, every single thing in this build, save paint, glue and flock was purchased in January! First a little history. Development of so called "wonder weapons" of the second world war by Nazi German all had their beginnings in the late 30's, rockets, jet engines, flying wings, wire guided air-to-air missiles, etc. Today's subject is one of those weapons. Development of the world's only rocket propelled combat aircraft began in 1937, but setting the craft up for large scale production didn't start until the end of 1941. However Messerschmitt's factories where swamped with Me109's that these planes wouldn't see combat until late 1944…" link link More here

A nice diorama, Armand, thanks for linking to it. There's a '163 in the AWM and it's surprising just how small they were. The diorama shows that quite well. |
