Excellent work! I particularly like the painted heiroglyphics!
And using the different technique on the scarabs gives them the "futuristic alien metal" look in keeping with the Go'auld. It makes one think there's more to these things than meets the eye. Hmmm… maybe Daniel should go first. evil grin

Eclectic Wave, it is a Folk Art (craft paint brand) color shift paint called Purple Flash I bought from Michaels. There are multiple colors available and you can find videos on Youtube showing how the different colors dry. You have to paint it over a black undercoat.
