Today is Armed Forces in the USA, 17 May 2025. The US Military is back on track again being combat ready forces full of warfighters.

Thanks and a salute to all the young men and women who are
defending our nation. You have taken a path that few choose
now. Again, thank you for taking that oath and your service.

Cheers Dal ! 🍻

FWIW Mark … you know the answer … we all do. And for those that don't … as more and more comes out we see what was being done to the US Military. And it was not good …

Bottom line no matter what … if called to do their duty, the US Military will do what has to be done. Again as we saw with the A'stan debacle. They did their duty, even if their leadership didn't have the right stuff. May those 13 US troops killed at Abby Gate RIP. They among many, many others will be remembered on Memorial Day this Monday 26 May, 2025.

RIP …

@Legion 4 I know nothing but I'm pretty sure that my opinion isn't your's since I don't see any significant change in combat readiness in the US military over the last 5 years, probably not since you withdrew your tanks from Europe. What's interesting is your apparent unwillingness to spell your views out. In the UK when people go 'you know what i mean' it tends to be followed by the phrase 'nudge, nudge, wink wink' and relates back to a Monty Python sketch and is a smutty joke; but I doubt you're suggesting the Us armed forces are all mildly sexually deviant ;-)

I do … But I'm a Yank here and you aren't … And generally I spelled my views out. Well as far as I can here.

Of course I was a Rifle Plt Ldr in the 101 and a Mech Co Cdr in a Bde of the 18th ABN Corps, '79-'90, USAR '91-'92. So, I have some experience, knowledge, insights, etc. you don't … I'd venture to say …

E.g. maybe you don't understand what a warfighter is ? But I'm pretty sure many others here do … Yes ?

Who said anything about sexually deviant ? No one here but … you ? 🤩
