One side is led by someone who refuses to put his business affairs into neutral hands (as other presidents have done for a long time), who daily puts government money 💰 into his own pocket by holding meetings in his own hotels at a "special" rate, and has just accepted a £400.00 GBP million pounds gift from a foreign government for his PERSONAL use. He is facilitated by a party that stays silent when he breaks US laws so often that the law can't keep up.

Sound moral principles ?

Joe owned Hotels? But Maybe they were Hunter's. He could have been using the money he was paid for all of his "expertise". Although I think his only real expertise was with drugs and prostitutes. Then again, maybe it was all that money distributed to "the family". 😂

If nothing else is done, the border is closed, and deportations are going on in large numbers. That is all good for me …

This admin is becoming a very mixed bag. The border is secure. The economy is not. Tariffs are apparently a great way to manipulate stock prices and make a bundle.

The personal conduct issue, the monetization of the office, is looking transformative and dangerous. This compares to no other Prez. The jokey "Bide Crime Family", led by a mastermind who is unwell and not able to function as a leader is a Fox News enhanced image.

Also, what other Prez would fly a gift jet from a Qatar as Air Force One? The national symbol of the US landing around the world, a gift from a nation with long term ties to terrorists?

What happened to buy American? America first?

SBminisguy25 May 2025 9:02 a.m. PST

Well, the Jet is originally American-made since it's a Boeing 747-8. AND Trump's ME visit resulted in aircraft orders for US aviation firms that replaced the lost orders from the China market.

Here is why US troops may be in Iraq indefinitely
Well didn't read the article yet … But the Iraqi gov't and military are not the best. Iraq is next to Syria and Iran. Plus just today US strikes killed 9 AQ IIRC in Yemen.

ISIS is still running around in Syria, etc. We really can't just leave the region with the GWoT still going on. islamists normally don't just go back to herding goats, etc. So short answer – kill'm wherever you can find them. They'll make more …

Many thought we still should have held Bagram in A'stan. Leave about 2500 US Troops there. Strategically Bagram is between Iran and China. Plus if the the terrorists, Taliban, AQ, ISIS etc. looked like they may try to start something. Aircraft flying out of Bagram can turn them into Krisy Kritters. But don't get me started on the A'stan debacle … again.

The IDF can't leave Gaza now [if ever ?]. Or 3-5 years from now Hamas, etc. will attack again. And BTW the IDF is not committing genocide. They could have done that with just air assets and FA.

And everybody said Iran can't get nukes. Again, Iraq is next to Iran. The IDF once they have got more positive control over Hamas and Hezbollah, which in that region means you keep killing them. Then the IDF will have to deal with Iran and the Houthis. The IDF shot down a Houthi missile headed for Israel recently.

The US has a concerted air offensive going on. Blowing every military in Yemen … Again islamists generally don't change … You have to kill'm to get them to change …

Go for it … again … they'll make more …

BTW stones can be and are being thrown at Trump every day and twice on Sunday. But many things that the POTUS and his admin are doing is repairing/fixing the total mess the last POTUS and many in Congress made. Not accidently but purposefully …

Gee how did we lose the China orders? There is no excuse for accepting that huge luxury aircraft from Qatar. Like we need their help.

SBminisguy25 May 2025 8:53 p.m. PST

Gee how did we lose the China orders?

Oh, I'm sorry, should we not have confronted the most evil regime since Nazi Germany and the USSR? Should we have allowed it to continue gaming the world trade system to rip us off, use State-controlled companies to "compete" in the global market to achieve manufacturing dominance at our expense while it created a massive military it says it intends to use to take Taiwan and then create the 21st century equivalent of Japan's Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere?

Indeed, far easier to not confront a power that doesn't hesitate to kill…that spreads cash and influence around and uses spy games and honey-traps to gain control of politicians, while spending billions on social media and media influence over its adversaries. I mean, you know the US is target number 1, yes? If you ever read any PLA propaganda articles they always place the US as Public Enemy Number One… we need this new hypersonic weapon to defeat American… we need the DF-21 to sink America's carrier fleet and defeat America… we need AI to defeat America… we need space-based weapons to defeat America… we need to continue to build our blue water navy so we can….guesses??..oh yeah, defeat America.

It's kind of like you're complaining about confronting Nazi Germany before WW2 broke out 'cause it cost Ford Motor Company some contracts.

There is no excuse for accepting that huge luxury aircraft from Qatar. Like we need their help.

Why the heck not? Oh gee, we don't want your $400 USD Million American-made jet! It's also a very Middle East thing, culturally, to do this kind of gifting between leaders. Have you ever been at a dinner with senior decision-makers from the ME? It's crazy how much they do ostentatious gifting… and then just go to dinner with the "average" Saudi business dudes and TRY to pick up the check, they will make you feel like it's an insult NOT to let then pay!

So we get a jet that goes into the USAF fleet. Fine by me, their gift creates no obligation to change out behavior and it's really just a big signal for their leaders to show they are our allies (yes, only as far as ya can throw 'em and all that.)

And yes, we do need their help diplomatically, and they host a massive US Navy base for the region, and since Trump took office they ostentatiously dropped support for Hamas.

Tango01 Supporting Member of TMP25 May 2025 10:05 p.m. PST

Hey!…Such a harsh description of a certain enemy… for a moment I thought you were talking about Russia…

Who are today's Nazis?… China, Russia, or both?

The jet won't be going to the US fleet, except temporarily. When Trump leaves office it becomes the property of his trust, for his own personal use.

A $400 USD million bribe, nothing less.

Boss! The Plane! The Plane!

Trump should have left it, if he could have done it without insulting the government and losing their promised commitments to the U.S.

It will cost a lot to modify supposedly. If that's true, it will cost the taxpayers and therefore should be designated the next Air Force one.

It should never default after service.

But hey! He could always say this makes up for all my salary I never accepted. 😂

But we really don't know what the full story is or will be. We have what the 24/7 Trump hating media and politicians telling us what will happen…… and they NEVER LIE. 😂😅

Google AI key points, for now.

"What will happen with the Qatari plane gifted to the United States is that the Air Force will take ownership of it and begin a process to modify it to meet presidential security standards.
Here's a breakdown of the key points:
Gift to the Pentagon: A Qatari official stated the plane is being given from the Qatari defense ministry to the Pentagon.
Requires Major Modifications: To meet presidential security standards, including missile defense systems, secure communications, and protection against electromagnetic pulses, the aircraft will require major modifications.
Potential Use as Air Force One: While initially offered as a gift, it's being considered for potential use as a presidential aircraft, potentially even replacing the current Air Force One temporarily.
Long and Expensive Process: Experts warn that, despite being a luxury jet, the rework required to meet Air Force One standards could take years and cost significantly more than the plane's initial value. The Air Force has not specified how long the project will take or its cost.
Transfer to Presidential Library: Former President Trump has indicated that the plane might be transferred to his presidential library for his continued personal use after he leaves office.
Ethical and Security Concerns: The acceptance of the jet has raised concerns regarding potential ethical issues, such as the implications of accepting a gift of this scale from a foreign government. There are also security concerns about modifying a pre-owned aircraft to meet presidential standards and the possibility of hidden surveillance devices.
In summary, the Qatari plane is in the process of being transferred to the Air Force for potential modification to serve as a presidential aircraft. However, the process is expected to be lengthy and costly, and ethical and security concerns surrounding the transaction remain a subject of discussion. "

Dagwood it does seem that the UK and Ireland have their own set of issues to be concerned about, much more so than the POTUS and an airplane.

I do miss Margaret Thatcher.

Here is just a quick short list of some. Amazing how reserved we Americans are about NOT criticizing you on your government and policies. Even when we don't like your politicians.

But then, we are martyrs to our own generosity. 😇

It's not an American thing to accept this "gift". Hurt someone's feelings in the ME? A great chance to explain that our leaders dont accept massive "gifts".

So he keeps it as a personal gift?

As for China… This is the guy that has rented office space in his Tower to one of China's biggest state bank for years. Think of it as a spy HQ. He "loves them. They buy my apartments". His daughter got preferential treatment for multiple Chinese patents to expand her business. Trump has done business in China, much MAGA gear has been made there…he has actually paid taxes there on income. Which he does not like to do in America based on his business records manipulating his property values.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP26 May 2025 6:35 a.m. PST

Tort almost all companies have or do business in China. Slave labor. That is why they are technologically where they are today. I have been shouting that since the 80's when the company I worked for then did it. He is and was not unique in this.

I bet if you checked real hard… every President since the 90's is associated or has family members with Chinese connections. Then check their stock portfolios and investments. We know the Biden's do and did. 😉

Didn't I remember something about foreign investments in some "presidential libraries" and "charities"? 🤔

Again I'll wait the full 4 years to see what happens and avoid the sensational MSM and deranged politicians.

Maybe he will give it to JD or Marco.. whichever is the next president. 😉

I don't even mind him doing business with China, for the same reasons you stated. But Xi knows Trump well, and trade matters most to both, including personal wealth. This matters more than confronting a murderous regime to them, as I understand what SB was suggesting.

There is no doubt that the cost of tariffs are passed on to consumers, who then reduce spending. After absorbing these costs, then slowing down economic activity, we are not all going to be better off. There has to be a better way.

SBminisguy26 May 2025 8:54 a.m. PST

This matters more than I don't even mind him doing business with China, for the same reasons you stated. But Xi knows Trump well, and trade matters most to both, including personal wealth. Confronting a murderous regime to them, as I understand what SB was suggesting.

They're already coming after the US NOW -- using diplomatic and influence "warfare," sabotage via constant cyberattacks and malware embedded in Chinese electronics (like it turns out Chinese made solar panels have a malware load that will try to attack any connected network and then brick the solar panel), espionage to steal secrets and IP and rip us off with copycat products. etc.

And they plan for kinetic war with the in the future. We're the number one roadblock to their global dominance. So unless the CCP falls, there will be WW3. Full spectrum war, hopefully stopping short of a strategic exchange. So in my perfect world the CCP's gonna break the trade deal, Trump will put the tariffs back in place and keep pushing companies to decouple from China and hope we can push the CCP into a collapse like we did the USSR.

Who are today's Nazis?… China, Russia, or both?

Putin isn't a "Nazi," he's more like a Mafia strongman running a country. He doesn't have a discernible central totalitarian ideology, but like any authoritarian wants to maintain control and will stomp anyone who looks like a threat to his authority. Like that punk group, "Pussy Riot," they did their concerts and whatever, and then they started getting vocal against Putin and he crushed them.

The CCP on the other hand, is our modern Nazis. They are a command-and-control fascist economy (despite saying they are communist), have a strong unifying central ideology they want to promote to the world, they are xenophobic and racist (the CCP promote the idea of ethnic Han Chinese racial superiority), run a brutally repressive regime that includes concentration camps, forced slave labor, imprisonment of dissidents, ORGAN harvesting from dissidents, they glorify militarism and expansion, are building a massive military and have stated repeatedly their goal is to conquer their immediate neighbors, and in so doing defeat the US, create a new version of Imperial Japan's "Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere" along with global Belt & Road, intend to be the world's sole super power and also have stated they reserve the right, as the heirs of the Middle Kingdom, to intervene globally to protect ethnic Chinese.

*Putin = Mussolini
*Xi = Hitler

Oh, and we're paying for China's attempt to rise to global power – each trade, each order feeds the machine. Look at this chart -- in the last 20 years China, using $$$ and knowledge (stupidly transferred by Western companies and businesses), has built a 200 TIMES greater ship building capacity than the US has. China has no firewall between military and civil cargo ships, and doesn't have the crazy cost & regulatory barriers of the US.

Tort,

Eggs dropped to below $3 USD a dozen at Aldi's and gas is 2.83 a gallon down the road on Memorial Day.

But the if I listen to the MSM and the politicians on TV, daily it's a new crises and the next end of the world as we know it.

Are things great? Hel# no! Are things going to H#ll? Again no.

The MSM has been in the high 80's with negative coverage since before day one with this administration.

Go look at the total amount federal judge challenges to everything he has tried in his two terms so far. I believe it is over 100. Not one other president has had near that amount of challenges.

I will help.

"The total number of nationwide injunctions issued against the last five presidents is as follows: 6 against George W. Bush, 12 against Barack Obama, 64 against Donald Trump (first term), and 14 against Joe Biden (first three years). "

"As of April 29, 2025, there have been 25 nationwide injunctions issued against the Trump administration during the first hundred days of its second term (January 20, 2025 to April 29, 2025), according to a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report. "

There have been more in May!

Remember in his 1st term many were used to stop the wall. Now they don't care about the wall. Why? Because Now the illegals are already here! Now the injunctions are aimed at keeping them here! They are fighting tooth and nail to retain them in the U.S. violent or not!

They are fighting tooth and nail to keep federal workers and money going to their pet universities.

Again there is a reason and it all political, money, voters and future voters. It is their current and future power base.

SB…the American billionaires make huge bucks doing business with China. They are obsessed with spying and building an economic empire. But when there are profits to be made for the wealthy, we look the other way on their conduct. They have a lot of ships because they need imports like oil to keep it going. But these vessels are vulnerable in a war. Their supply lines are too long.

35th..there is no doubt in my mind that Trump was sometimes targeted unfairly, but also that his own conduct was responsible for much of his legal trouble. Have you ever seen his deposition in the Trump University lawsuits? His whole demeanor drips with contempt. He is the king of thousands of lawsuits. That does not happen because you are the victim.

If we are to be defeated, it will be because we are deeply divided. The all caps social media Memorial Day greetings from the Prez shows how this can be manipulated, even during what was once a solemn moment of unity and reflection. The Prez may not have caused our disunity, but he fans the flames more than any other Prez in history.

I fear the huge military parade coming up might just be another chance to push the us vs them agenda.

"The Prez may not have caused our disunity, but he fans the flames more than any other Prez in history."

Tort I totally disagree. You might think differently if you were on the receiving end of the vitriol of the Biden/Obama/Hillary Clinton group.

I read just a few days ago where an older man wearing a MAGA hat was assaulted by a woman. It just does not end.
😔

"A Florida woman is facing multiple charges stemming from her alleged attack on a 72-year-old man who was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat earlier this week.

Laura Garrett, 33, was arrested by the Largo Police Department on Tuesday for battery on a person older than 65, battery on a police officer and obstructing or resisting an officer without violence, according to Pinellas County Jail records."

"The two got into an argument at some point during the confrontation before Garrett poured a can she was holding on the victim's head and hit him on the back of his head and shoulder area with it, the arrest report said, though Garrett denied that she hit him with the can.

Police said she jumped a fence and walked away after the attack on the man."

We can agree to disagree. The media drives a lot of this. Fox was more than 90 % negative on Biden and Hilary, only a little less on Biden. Their influence cannot be understated. Dividing us for ratings pull. But Biden and Hilary had major flaws to report on as well. So it's easy to swallow up the whole mantra, as has also been done with Trump.

There are so many anecdotes from both sides. In a country this big we will never agree on everything. And there will always be hate crimes, and crime in general. Plenty of stories to pick from.

But the common ground that still held us together despite our differences has all but disappeared.

Bad judgement at best to include a one sided rant in a holiday message. It's sounds crazy. Save it for a rally. But I resent it here. Internet shouting at us about bad Americans on a solemn day like this. Yea, I saw Arlington but it doesn't erase the earlier message. It seems like every time I see an action of his that helps the country something like this or the Qatar jet comes along.

This morning, despite all the anti-Trump doom and gloom:

Rasmussen Reports

"Holy crap – it happened!

🔥For the first time in our polling history A MAJORITY says the country is on the right track🔥

Don't F it up, Republicans."

Also

Newsweek:
"Donald Trump's approval rating skyrockets with Hispanics

President Donald Trump's approval rating has increased among Hispanic voters, a new poll has revealed.

According to new polling, Trump's approval rating among this demographic has increased by 22 percent in a month."

….

"Why It Matters

Despite frequently facing criticism for hard-line immigration policies that target migrants from countries in Latin America, Trump has recently made significant gains in favorability and approval among Hispanic Americans.

Hispanic voters were one of the key groups who proved important in securing Trump's win in the November 2024 election. The demographic has generally leaned Democratic, but Trump increased his share of the Hispanic vote from 16 percent in 2016 to 42 percent in 2024."

Fox was more than 90 % negative on Biden and Hilary, only a little less on Biden. Their influence cannot be understated.

Fox? That's all ya got? How about the Democrats/Left have faithful water carriers in MSNBCABCCBSCNNPBSNPR, Apple/Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/Youtube/Disney+, FB/TikTok/Instgram/Discord/Reddit/BLuyeSky, WaPoLATNYTChiTribUSANewsweekAtlantic, etc.

Trump is the CONSEQUENCE of Division promoted by the Left as part of their ideological power grab over the United States. He is the reaction to years of hateful rhetoric, othering and attacks by the Left on anyone who stands in their way. Trump's the chemo for the cancer, a unique man who is not cowed by the doxing and bullying of the Left, who can fight back using the Social Media the once controlled and force them to use their own tools to carry his message.

Like when he trolled Ramphosa of South Africa in the Oval Office and showed the video of the horrific state of affairs there, where there is a defacto policy of repression and even genocide against white farmers = a coalition of parties shown chanting "death to the boer" controls 25% of their Parliament, the ANC does NOT enforce hate laws against those parties, and the rate of crime against white farmers as a result is 1500% higher than general population…oh, and the ANC -- who controls the South African government, passed laws allowing them to grab land without compensation or process or appeals, and has declared criticism of this policy and accusations of racism is TREASON.

AND South Africa under the ANC is steadily becoming a Chinese ally, getting Belt & Road cash, supporting China in the UN and other bodies, and fronting an accusation of genocide against Israel in the World Court for China.

Trump exposed him for the double-talking nastiness he is, someone accusing others of genocide while it's progressing towards genocide in his own borders. And the media HAD to cover it, it was in their face live, now everyone has seen it and can fact check it themselves, and despite the alphabet soup of outlets I posted trying to cover for Ramphosa and attacking Trump, everyone knows now.

Wonderful!

Fox is a reaction to the others all presenting a single unified politically biased view, and Fox itself has fallen prey to some institutional thinking and is rivaled now by conservative and libertarian youtubers and podcasters.

"Scum" is not hateful rhetoric? I thought his Memoral Day social media post was ….words fail me.

LOL, we're SO far past words Tortorella -- why were you not protesting here at every verbal assault against Trump and Republicans, Conservatives and Moderates who have gotten (sometimes literally) into the crosshairs of the Left/Democrats? Scum is a very mild word in comparison -- and I guess you need to define who the person is that Trump is calling scum. Maybe they are scum.

I mean, what do you call the Democrats who have turned on Fetterman after he's proven to be pretty centrist, and accusing him of literally being insane and mentally derelict so they can remove him from the party and replace him with an extreme Leftist who will lock-step with the Party? Remember, these are the same people who said he was just fine when he was recovering from his stroke and had obvious issues, and now that he is fully recovered but expresses centrist views they've declared him insane.

Seems pretty Scummy to me.

Since this is a game board site, here's a game that can easily be updated to represent the power politics inside the Democrat Party. Accusing someone of madness in order to remove them was a pretty standard Soviet tactic:

More insider power struggles in China. Xi's handpicked general in charge of political doctrine over the PLA just un-alived himself… and we also have Xi's ally General He Weidong, one of the top generals of the PLA, vice chairman of the CCP Central Military Commission (similar to the Chairman of the JCS), supposedly un-aliving himself as well after being detained for "unforgivable crimes of corruption."

Allegations are that Xi attempted to re-assert his power against the Old Guard Party Elders, and failed. The PLA generals loyal to the Old Guard are now cleaning house as Xi-backed Generals are scurrying for cover -- these five didn't run fast enough:

1. Gen Huang Ming, Commander of Northern Theatre Command

2. Gen Cao Qingfeng, Deputy Chief of Staff for the PLA Joint Chiefs

3. Lt Gen Yang Cheng, Political Commissar of Xinjiang Military District

4 & 5. Generals Shaojun Zhang and Fang Yongxiang, Deputy Chiefs of Military Personnel.

Scores of other senior PLA leadership have been arrested, gone missing or un-alived themselves, including the Commander of Eastern Theater Command and Taiwan Operations, the Director Chief of Staff of the PLA Navy, Commander of Southern Theatre Command, Commander Western Theatre Command, the Chief of PLA Unified Command, the Political Commissar of the PLA Navy, Head of PLA Logistics Command, the Commander of the PLA Army, and the Commander of the People's Armed Police Force.

Interesting times to be in the PLA, eh? Oh -- and this is linked to rumors that Xi is losing the internal power struggle, his own head of security has evidently been distancing himself and the rumor being spread by the Old Guard loyalists is that Xi will step down or un-alived within the next 60 days.

Only watch FOX & Newsmax, occasionally CNN … Everything else is a waste of time. And all the other news channels including CNN, along with other media were hiding the Biden " Emperor has no cloths" conspiracy. Now they are all trying do damage control.

Having just had another hip replacement I watch the cable news often. I'm sort of captive audience. The things that occurred during the Biden admin were inexcusable and many investigations are in the works. As far as Biden's health … Karma's a Bleeped text.

I will listen to local Lefty Radio (KPFA) on occasion, and NPR, to hear their news spin. I was surprised to find out that Newsmax just did an IPO and has 33 Million viewers!

I like the "un-alive" phrase..it has a certain ring to it!

I have often referred to the Chinese military being highly politicized. They are not as likely to implement complex amphibious operations with this kind of leadership.

Can't Trump stop himself just once and not politicize even Memorial Day?

Well at least Trump is honestly supporting the US Military, regardless of is report failings. Verse the last POTUS, his admin and party.

E.g. the US military and LEO numbers have increased because of the POTUS and his admin. They saw capable, etc. leadership. The last POTUS and VP as we saw and see more as time goes on. Didn't not have the right stuff. They had the completely wrong stuff. With almost everything they did and try to do.

Plus more and more everyone knew it, yet it was covered up by their admin, party, the media, etc. All these morphed into the real threat to the USA. And are still fighting the current POTUS, his admin and party … I can't believe so many still don't support our leaders. The leadership of the last POTUS, VP and admin shouldn't have got anywhere near the WH … They were shown to be one of the weakest, worst, etc. leaders in US history …

IN case you missed it -- the Left have politicized EVERYTHING, so no, he doesn't anymore after years of being attacked politically, legally, verbally and physically with multiple assassination attempts. He's all out frucks, and is pretty much the politician we all said we wanted for years. Someone who is unfiltered, and does what he says he's going to do.

I agree -- and the man who would lead any near-term Taiwan attack just got whacked.

Half the country does not want him on any given day. All I asked for is a little respect for the fallen via that post on social media. He is no victim. He mounts plenty of verbal missiles every day. He is immune to legal action via the use of procedural delay. He can better support the military by calming down, IMO. Every president takes heat and leads on. That is the strength we really need.

"NEW: Josh Hawley says Secret Service whistleblower assigned to Biden told him "Biden used to get lost in his closet in the mornings in the White House"🚨

"The guy, literally stumbling around in the White House residence, couldn't find his way out of his own closet."
"

You might say "Sure!!", but I saw enough on TV to believe it's true.

Well, in his defence, it was probably a very large closet !
