Hi, Looking for more information on the Allied piquets at Minden, these chaps were in action around Hahlen and were supposedly made up of the Army's Piquets., Does anyone know whether they were from all the infantry regiments, British, Hanoverian and others? Also did these fight as skirmishers or as formed adhoc battalions? I would assume this might be the case as they managed to successfully hold the town.. I've looked in all the books I have on Minden, plus on the ‘net, but there is no real detail about this aspect of the battle… |
