Our club has decided to give 40k a try, so I have a Tyranid army to assemble and paint. To make some work space I tidied my painting desk just a tad. I have a few odds and ends to finish up but after that I'll be concentrating on just three projects: Team Yankee 6mm, Imperial Skies and Tyranids.

What's your space looking like these days?

Seriously not that bad but nowhere near as tidy as yours

Love to have paints like your rack – did you build that yourself?

I can't find mine! I know I have one in there somewhere.

Too many projects …..

Plywood and nail polish racks. Cheap and easy

No way. To do so means madness!

Mine is currently a complete wreck.

I will be spending time tomorrow, (most of the day), doing laundry and cleaning it up.
I'll post before and after pics on my blog.

That painting desk is really nice.
The painting desk is the place for some quiet time. Very good for people.
Always nice to see painting desks. Similar to bookcases. Tells you about a person's interests.
I usually run out of white or red paint first. Maybe your most used colour gives a clue as to your paint style and period interests? Holmes could do that.

Mine is rarely this tidy but I did recently give it a tidy up so here is a photo:

Mine is always cluttered. When I "clean it up" it still looks overrun, but then it's my place.

Very nice setup you've got. Mine is a complete mess.

One of the best armies, right along with the Orks. Not super competitive, but decently balanced and fun to paint and play.

@martin:

I think paint would be trouble for Holmes. You run out of red and white a lot right?

So what if the only full pots are red and white because they are new?

Now color assortment, for sure he can tell a lot from what colors you own and which look well used or not.

@ZuluPaul: What are all the little blue boxes?

Crispy that isn't my painting area, too neat. Just had my name in the wrong place, maybe the bug?

From two years ago, but pretty much au courant, except I have a bunch of figures in the works on it right now. Six Paintier carousels plus a lazy Susan.

@extra crispy the little blue boxes are Revell Aqua color paint pots.
