I was basing a shedload of 6mm US infantry from Heroics & Ros, and had a pile of the metal sprues left. And as my brain sometimes does, it popped out "hey those look like dragon teeth anti tank obstacles." So I sprayed them brown and based them up.
In 15mm they are just urban barricades. In 6mm they can be anti-mech barriers for BattleTech, barriers or other obstructions. For anti-mech service they are topped with sharp edges to puncture the soft unarmored feet of BattleMechs. Some are tipped iwth mines or other IEDs. Not exactly high tech but cheap as dirt compared to a nuclear powered, 50 ton romper stomper. |

Those look great! I am a sucker for a great use of dross! I bet they would work in a fantasy and postapoc setting, too. The terrain piece is abstract, but put into a context it takes on specific character. One suggestion – you might want to round the ends of the bases. That would allow you to connect them at different angles for more modularity in deployment. |

Bases are steel :-( My original idea was for BattleTech. The idea is they are an area deprivation weapon. Fill a city block with them and mechs will go around to your killing zone, kinda like a mine field. As such they were intended to be more "caltrop" than wall, so I hadn't thought about actually stringing them together in lines. But now you mention it I could do a lot of the smaller ones on washers to act as joints between sections… |

That is great. Like Etotheipi, "I am a sucker for a great use of dross!" I don't believe that walking armored vehicles will ever be a thing, because the walking mechanism is far more complex and thus subject to breakdown than wheels or tracks. But if walking armored vehicles ever do become a thing, I don't believe that they will have "soft unarmored feet", because they will be using those feet to crush their enemies! |

Nah, you don't need to connect them in lines. Leave a gap just big enough to walk through, then, surprise! – pit trap… ;-) |

What a great idea! Very effective! Great work… |
