IMO all to try and appease a voting group. You can do the math.

It was clearly a bad idea, as I think we all said at the time, echoing the experience with one of the Mulberrys in WW2. It did not make sense in any case with Hamas grabbing the goods.

I expect that Biden listened to his advisors and approved it. His personal responsibility is limited by the standards of the buck never stopping anywhere anymore. Biden very often did this.

Resupply is a critical component of any campaign. Regardless of any political slant (rightly or wrongly) that you try and apply to this, important lessons will have been learnt.

Don't forget the numerous times that the pier, (designed to provide supplies and aid to the people of Gaza) actually came under fire and was damaged by HAMAS, who were intent on preventing aid reaching the people of Gaza.

You do realize the Iranian Overlords only use the good people of Gaza for their own reasons and the Hamas goons do only Iranian's bidding.

Like so many things from the Biden Admin … it did not go as it was intended to. Biden and his cabinet rarely listened to his Military or Intel advisors. E.g. the A'stan debacle, DEI, CRT + Trans in the military, Males on Female sports team, open borders, etc., etc., etc., etc. …

What was withheld until now, was why I posted it. Specifically the number injured and one dead. That is new. 62 is a far cry from 3 or 4 told to us originally.

A refurbished LST would have been a better and cheaper (and likely safer) option.
But then we must remember it would have reduced the graft and kickbacks, and TPTB can't have that… ;-)
