I've been using Citadel Grey Seer primer since it came out. My last can was close to running out so I bought 2 more cans. The new ones have a different cap and nozzle. Problem is, the newer Grey Seer doesn't work the same. My contrast paints flow off it like water. It takes going over the same area(s) multiple times to get the contrast paint to do its stuff. Has anyone experienced the same? |

Watched a youtube video wwhich said that for Leadbelcher spray you have to go over the figure with a brush as the spray finish is to smooth for the contrast paint to work. Rich |

A few ideas, assuming it's not a different formula, or even if it is Make sure the figures are clean of dust and oils and any mould release agents. Even wash in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water and air dry. Make sure the can is properly shaken in all directions vigorously. Spray from slightly further away, as the paint will be "glossy" if sprayed too close and "frosty" if sprayed from too far. It could be a "glossy" issue. Temperature and humidity may also be a factor. So try to pick a good day to do it. And make sure the figures aren't getting dirty or oily after spraying. I think they are the main possibilities. |
