Back in 2016, we played a game based on the assault on Marnach at the start of the Ardennes Offensive.

We played this game using 6mm miniatures and terrain and using the Mein Panzer rules by Old Dominion Game Works.

For the game, the Americans had a reinforced Infantry Company defending the town. The Germans had a Kampfgruppe with tanks, mechanized infantry, recon, and even a pair of Sturmtigers.

As I remember, we had 6 players starting out with 4 Germans and 2 Americans. I was in command of a Panzer IV Company.

This was a game that used many of the Mein Panzer rules including infantry, artillery – both direct and indirect, infantry transport and unloading and the rules for buildings and damage.

We called the game after several sessions due to player attrition. The Americans were still holding when end came so at least had a moral victory.

Here are some pictures from the game.

That's a great looking game, thanks for posting. And glad the good guys were able to hang on.

Tell us more. To say the least, the defenders were outnumbered. Good, indeed massive, artillery support? Some real expert heroics with bazookas? Did the Germans know just how they really should have overwhelmed the few defenders?

Sounds a great story here. Just hope you can still remember after so long.

Lookin' forward to any story-line Pete can remember (as Deadhead urges above)….and LOOK, JUST JACK is BACK!

Hey Dave, good to ‘see' you man, hope all is well. Yeah, I'm back, trying to get back into the old swing of things with a regular posting schedule and more interaction with other gamers after spending a couple of years in exile, painting my butt off. I've posted a couple forces the past couple weeks, will continue to do that (lots more to come) and hopefully even get back into playing some games soon.

V/R,
Jack

Glad to hear it.

I went to your blog, and man, you've been cranking out 28s like they were [your] 15s!

Just wait! It's quite literally the tip of the iceberg.
