As always, very nice work. Do you have any ideas for the five different Prince Rupert figures I have in 28 mm?

Cheers S'nasty.

6?! Hopefully not all the same figure. If they are from different manufacturers, less of a problem.

Maurice could be one. The rest, depends on how 'dandy' they are dressed. Headwear is the hardest to disguise, particularly if it is a unique looking thing. Good old lobster pot or zischagge can disguise many a face. Big feathers might need pruning.

Hopton, Goring, Langdale, easily spring to mind.Thomas Sandford, if you have a plain figure with a bit of bling. Okay a lot of bling, Sandford wasn't known for being shy and retiring.

Yes, different figures, most bare-headed or with simple hats and armor. Maurice and Hopton sound good. I'm looking for someone with a mug or goblet for Goring and dour for Langdale. Sanford is not someone I am familiar with but I shall rectify that today! Thanks!

S'nasty if only someone had written an ECWcentric blog that you could search for Sandford….

His fire locks are listed, also he's mentioned in the Nantwich entry – he was killed by a shot fired by a 14/15 year old. Also try the ECWtravelogue entry for Cheshire as his Beeston exploits are mentioned there

Searching elsewhere, there's 2 Sandford/Sanfords

The one you want served in Ireland, came back to England landing at Chester, then campaigned around Cheshire and Staffordshire.

The other one's diary is available, campaigning around the Welsh Marches iirc. He was somewhat demure in comparison to Thomas.

I feel your pain – I have six 28mm Duke of Brunswick figures (Napoleonic): two Perry, two Front rank, one Eagle Miniatures and one Hinchliffe. I just wish people wouldn't keep including them alongside more common/useable command types in damnably utilitarian "command packs"…..
