Their site says they're done. Does anyone know why, or anything else about it?

No direct clues. They were running a beat the tariffs sale in February. No word about a going out of business sale. Then they upped and closed. Tariff situation may have pushed them over the edge if they were thinking of retiring, or it may have been something else entirely.

I'd lay odds it was metal prices increasing. And probably shipping costs as well. Honestly, I didn't even know they were still in business…

I tried to make contact with RAFM many times, both as a customer and as TMP, and never got any response. Not surprised they went under. If I'd heard about the sale, I would have picked up a few items. Hope the figure lines are picked up…

Some of my first colonial figures

Wish them well

Hail and farewell, I was a fan back in the day, still have a bunch of their colonials.

RAFM was always one of my go to suppliers for Cthulhu miniatures. I am thankful that I bought everything in their Cthulhu line before they closed.

They were fairly active on FB maybe a decade ago, then just dropped of the planet. Thought they were closed long ago…

Sorry to see this come about. I knew Jack years ago and he was a very decent fellow.

It seems that one of the partners, and main driving force of the business, has passed away. That is the only information I have heard.

I'm sure more information will be made available at some point.

I think my first non D and D figures were RAFM. Very nice figures.

Their FIW range was quite extensive.
And so were the Riel and Plains Indian ranges.
But like Ral Partha, they were "true 25mm", and were noticeably smaller than today's Big Boys. Some even smaller than 25mm.
That never bothered me, but it might bother some.

I had idly thought of getting some more Plains Indians, but I guess I won't be.

I have a bunch of their FIW and fantasy minis. I always liked the true "25mm" scale better than the upsized 28-30mm minis common today.

A big part of my lead mountain is RAFM Traveller starships, and I have a lot of other RAFM products as well. All of it was great work.

Their website today still says:

RAFM Miniatures
Serving the miniatures and gaming hobby since 1977

And that is true.

Sad tidings. I liked their sculpts and still have many fantasy and F&IW minis. Also siege equipment and artillery.

Their Charlie Compamy 20mm Nam were nice, pretty proportional for 20mm and the rules are good.
