The Gamers are coming!

The Gamers are coming!

Little Wars opens in 2 days.

Yes indeed, one if by land, and two if by air. Starting tomorrow night the local hotels will be subject gamers being quartered on their property. We have attendees coming in from 13 states (colonies?), and 4 different countries. This is shaping up to be a great 40th Anniversary of your favorite Midwest convention. Be sure to attend our opening cermonies, with our own "Shot heard around the world"

Do not miss at the end of this email.- Be a part of the Live WGN-Channel 9 ,broadcast from 7 am to 10 am, Saturday morning.

For us old campaigners this is a great time to rekindle some long standing friendships. Perhaps roll some dice with those we knew since Christ was a Corporal.

Then there are others who may have only joined us back in "Ought 8s", or so, this side of the millennium. They still have the stamina to run or play games all 4 days. They have also come to clean out the vendors of their wares.

Finally if this your first Little Wars, or you are early in your con experiences, I envy you. I can still remember the wonder and awe of the spectacle. Every table was a surprise, a work of art, each vendor a treasure trove. It was here that I developed a camaraderie with other members of my tribe, and maintain that, to this day.

Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, everyone is welcome. Enjoy yourselves and have an exciting time. Thanks for joining us, volunteering, GMing, playing or just shopping. You are the ones that make this convention great.

See you there,
Kevin.
